Online outdoor sporting goods retailer in looking to fill immediate
need for Website HTML Designer. Role consists of converting conceptual
design elements provided by marketing and art department into workable
HTML/CSS that will interface with Template Toolkit processor. The ideal
candidate will have prior experience working within a group, ability to
self-manage within tight deadlines, and be comfortable working on
larger scale, multiple site implementations.


Primary Workload

Design and develop HTML/CSS/JQuery Javascript for company\'s network of websites

Create new and modify existing templates built using Template Toolkit


Additional Tasks Under Consideration

Content production

Generate content for Search Engine Optimization for generalized content (i.e. *SPORTS BRAND* Jackets, etc.)

Manage online newsletters

Investigate company asset &amp;quot;buzz&amp;quot; on the Internet

Report against analysis tools used on the website and produce reporting to principals

Work with the product management team to remain current with upcoming product releases, focuses, and specials

Generate graphical elements for use in website and other materials that is consistent with our established brand identities

Routinely recommend fresh ideas and implementations for the company based on your technological responsibilities

Build electronic advertisement material and manage the update process so product focus stays current

Skills

Mandatory Requirements for Position Consideration

Minimum 2 years professional experience developing semantic
HTML/CSS code for all major web browsers without using a WYSIWYG editor

Minimum 2 years experience using Adobe Photoshop Creative Suite or comparable application suite for graphic design (web-centric)

Prior experience working within e-commerce platform software

Portfolio examples of existing work (access to personal website optional but not needed)

Moderate to advanced knowledge of Office tools suchs as Microsoft Office, OpenOffice, etc.

Moderate to advanced knowledge of computer navigation and task workflow

Moderate to advanced knowledge of PHP5


Desired Abilities

Ability to program in Javascript using JQuery

Search engine optimization knowledge and provided examples of high keyword rankings

Minor MySQL programming

Audio/Video editing experience

Desire to broaden company exposure into mobile applications (iPhone, Android, WebOS)

User interface and experience theory

Familiarity with design patterns

Prior experience using CVS/SVN

The English Federation of Disability Sport’s mission is to increase and sustain the participation of disabled people in grass roots, mainstream and elite sport. It does this by working with Sport England, National Governing Bodies of Sport and other partners. The Board has just concluded a thorough review of the organisation and building on the great work that has taken place so far, is now recruiting an executive team to deliver the Board’s vision from the organisation’s new location at SportPark at Loughborough University.



As the leading voice in the world of Disability Sport, it is vital that we constantly strive for innovation and excellence. This role is responsible for working with our partners to identify and deliver innovative projects and assess their effectiveness. Candidates will be able to demonstrate the range of successful projects that they have initiated and delivered using their excellent project management skills, as well as their ability to secure funding and support for new projects. 



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POST 


	Ensure our vision and strategy underpin and are at the heart of all our projects and business development opportunities. 
	Within project delivery, facilitate and ensure a culture of knowledge based and customer relations focused management. 
	Work with our partners to identify and deliver innovative projects which build their capacity and enable them to increase opportunities for disabled people to participate in sport. 
	Deliver on the strategic aims of EFDS through the development of projects and products which develop the business and secure its success. 
	Strategically manage the ending of projects, identifying where it is appropriate for a piece of work to become integrated into the core work of EFDS, become part of another organisations work or come to an end. 
	Ensure the necessary systems are in place to manage the financial planning and budgeting of individual projects, working closely with the Director of Corporate Services. 
	Develop and integrate internal management and monitoring processes required by each project, which ensure quality and deliver activities as required to project timescales, again working closely with the Director of Corporate Services. 
	Contribute to the overall strategic development and operational management of EFDS as a member of the senior management team. 
	Lead and manage a team of project managers, facilitating the linking of their work where appropriate. 
	Set and agree criteria for future projects. 
	Review of existing projects against agreed criteria. 
	Proactively seek out opportunities and funding to support new projects.
