Professor in Coaching and Elite Performance, University of Glamorgan - Faculty of Health, Sport and Science

The Faculty of Health, Sport and Science at the University of Glamorgan seeks to appoint a leading academic to drive the strategic development of research and postgraduate activities within the sub-discipline of sports coaching and performance. In the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise, 50% of the submission from the Sport, Health and Exercise Science Research Unit (SHESRU) was rated at 2* or greater and the University is also currently investing in excess of £4 million in new exercise science laboratories and a state-of-the-art Centre of Sports Coaching and Performance. To build on this success and investment, the Professor in Sports Coaching and Elite Performance will work closely with existing staff to further enhance the reputation of the University for excellence in teaching and research in this flourishing area.
