The School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences at Deakin University in Melbourne is seeking to appoint a Chair in Exercise Physiology. The School offers undergraduate programs in Exercise and Sports Science, and in Food Science and Nutrition, as well as postgraduate coursework programs in Nutrition and in Dietetics.

The School currently has approximately 60 postgraduate research students and across the School there are strong research groups conducting work that spans basic science, clinical science and population health.

The Chair in Exercise Physiology will provide outstanding academic and research leadership to the School's Exercise Science staff, and will provide advice to the Head of School regarding teaching and research in Exercise Science. You will also play a lead role in forging relationships with professional groups, government and non-government organisations, and relevant industry and community groups. The successful applicant will be expected to establish their own research program and to collaborate with existing staff as appropriate.

Appointment to the University is subject to current federal immigration laws.
