Sussex County Cricket Club is looking for an exceptional individual to take responsibility for the physical training and conditioning of our professional squad and academy players. Working closely with the Club’s cricket management and medical staff, you will also be required to work with the ECB’s science and medicine team and adhere to the governing body’s protocols and requirements for the post. The successful candidate for this full time role must have the following essential qualifications and attributes: - Graduate qualifications in Sports Science and/or Strength and Conditioning UKSCA accreditation, or evidence that this will be achieved within a twelve-month period. - At least three years experience in the provision of strength and conditioning services to elite athletes and coaches, which should include work with high performance teams or squads (preferably as a lead). - Experience in the support and preparation of developing elite athletes, with specific expertise in strength and conditioning (specifically periodisation, programming, monitoring, assessment and intervention within all areas of S&C) and sports injury prevention/rehabilitation - Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team - Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (including presentation skills) - Basic life support training within the past two years - Full driving licence - Computer literacy, including MS office, databases and performance analysis software.
