Hello, I have been involved in sports marketing for over twenty years and have specialised in power sports (engine or wind power)... placing and managing sponsorship investments and programs in many areas including Formula One, Ocean Yachting, World Championship motorcycle racing and Aerobatics.
80% of our work is directly with sponsors; managing their program or more often, planning the strategy, identifying the right area of sport for their brand, developing the internal and external marketing communications and assisting in deploying the activation plan. Working often as a fully integrated element withing the sponsor's marketing team and as liaison with the sports property.
An integrated approach is crucial for success and I have the blend of real business marketing experience and a specialist knowledge of power sports that will enhance the sponsor's experience of sports marketing and avoid many of the oversights and hiccups often seen which can be costly and can damage a brand's integrity.
Sometimes the truth can hurt but you will always be told it how it is! If your brand doesn't have a perfect fit with a sport you shouldn't be there unless there is a strong rationale and strategy.
Work in the sports arena is fun but must be conducted professionally... the better the program runs the more fun it is with all involved working as a team, achieving best performance and all seeing demonstrable benefit from their involvement.
