Psychometric Profiles
We provide a range of psychometric tools with a foundation in Reversal Theory (a psychological theory of motivation): The Apter Profiling Toolkit.
Motivation has a huge part to play in any individuals performance, but arguably none more so than in the sporting world. The insights gained from our range of psychometrics have been used effectively worldwide in both corporate and sporting contexts, (notably with Olympic medal winning teams) to help improve motivation and performance.
The Apter Profiling Toolkit.
The Apter Motivational Style Profile (AMSP): An online 40 item psychometric tool which looks at an individuals motivational preferences. This can be used in one-on-one coaching, team building career transition and in managment development. The AMSP comes in a presentation folder with a booklet, "The Eight Ways of Being" which describes Reversal Theories Eight Motivational States. We have found it is extremely helpful when giving feedback to the AMSP.
The Apter Leadership Profiling System (ALPS): This tool assess the impact a leader creates over eight micro-climate conditions, and the effect that has on the motivation and performance of their followers.
All our training is held in Loughborough, Leicestershire.
Day 1: Motivating Sustainable Performance in the Workplace: Reversal Theory Workshop (the foundation for all our profiles). This will give you a great grounding in Reversal Theory and new perspectives to motivations in workplace and life in general.
Day 2: Access to either AMSP or ALPS. You will learn about the tool and its many applications. You will also receive feedback on your own profile (AMSP). and receive 3 free profiles to go away and practice with (AMSP or ALPS).
(These two days will usually run consecutively.)
Day 3: Review Session. Usually held in a group so you can share your experiences of using the tool and ask questions. This is required for you to become a Qualified Practitioner.
The cost of these three days is £799 + VAT. However once you are trained in one tool e.g. AMSP you will then only need to complete one extra day of training to become qualified to use another tool e.g ALPS. This would then hold an additional cost of £399 + VAT
Phil Moore, Sports Psychologist:
‘AMSP provides a great way to help athletes and coaches understand themselves and use that knowledge to achieve their best performance under pressure’
Jonathan Wolff, Loughborough University Careers Services:
"Based on Reversal Theory, the AMSP adds a whole new set of insights and guidance applications to those offered by the other major personality instruments that I have been trained to use (MBTI, OPQ, 16PF and others) whilst remaining complimentary to their use. The AMSP is very applicable to any one-to-one interview situations involving any kind of coaching strategy as well as to group workshops on topics relating to situational performance.
The two-day intensive training on AMSP that I attended with Apter International, here in Loughborough, was as professionally run and as stimulating as any course that I had previously experienced and offered a range of practical techniques to develop my work as a guidance practitioner."
